Started in 1984 by Peter and Leonie Leonard, Lencom Antennas began as a supplier of rugged, field whips for the four wheel driving community.
The whips were soon adopted by a number of commercial organisations and the company extended into tapped whips and base-station, wire antennas.
Peter developed and patented one of the first automatic tuning units in the late 80s.
The company was registered in July 1991 and moved into its current premises in 1995.
Since then, Lencom has grown its range of antennas and expertise and now sees its antennas used by the United Nations, Australian Defence Force and a host of commercial and security organisations around the world.
